Seven minutes in Valhalla (HiccupxReader)

The shields spun and spun until finally it slowed and stopped pointing to its creator. Hiccup. He looked at you and smiled sheepishly.

“But it was my idea.” Snotlout pouted.

“The shield has spoken.” Tuffnut said.

“Guess it’s me and you first.” Hiccup said. He got up and walked back to the cage and opened one of the large wooden doors. You walked in and he closed them behind him.

“So what exactly are we supposed to do?” you asked running a hand through your hair.
“I don’t really know, I guess it depends on your idea of paradise.” He said rubbing his neck.

“Is that some way of saying you don’t like me?” you asked.

“WHAT!? No! Not at all!” he said quickly, “I just don’t know you. Don’t get me wrong you’re cute but I don’t know what you think of me, and I would never make a move without your permission also your heathers friend and I don’t want to make things weird and things between me and Astrid aren’t so good and I don’t want to make things awkward between us being as we just met and this is all messed up.” He said finally out of breath and brushing a hand through his hair.

You laughed a little, it was cute seeing him all nervous like this. You came closer to him and held out your hand, “how about we start fresh, I’m _____, Heather’s friend.”

He smiled and relaxed a bit. He took your hand, “Hiccup, dragon trainer.” He said. “Has anyone ever told you your eyes seem to sparkle the most brilliant shade of (e/c)?” he asked.

You smiled and blushed a little. “Has anyone ever told you how irresistibly green your eyes are?” you asked.

It was his turn to blush now. He seemed to be bringing his face closer to yours. His eyes slowly closing the closer he came until, when fully shut his lips were on yours. You kissed him back. He had the softest lips. You could feel your heart soaring.

It was then the two of you were brought back into reality by a loud pounding on the door. “Hey! It’s been 7 minutes!” a voice called.

You and hiccup looked at each other and blushed. Heather was right, Hiccup was cute.

“You know, after this game is over, I’ll give you a ride on Toothless, you know, to show you around the island.” Hiccup said with a warm smile.
